
Ghana High Commission Chancery
This project involved refurbishment and extensions to an old dilapidated building to modern standards. Otto Mruttu + Partners were the project Architects. Nyange Integrated Consultants were the project Quantity Surveyors, and Abba and Wandu were the project Engineers.

Initial construction stage
This was the initial building on-site. Refurbishments were done to this building and extensions were done to accommodate new facilities. The project scope involved a Main house, swimming pool, pool house, an amphitheater, basketball court, and parking.

Construction stage
The project rose to the ambassadorial standard by employing the use of
a) EPS slab on the 2nd-floor approx 700sm
b) A mahogany staircase
c) Laminate floor tiles on the first floor.
d) Steel dendriform to the amphitheater
e) Solar backup system.
g) Masonry cavity walls to the offices for aesthetics, weatherproofing, and security.
h) Steel dendriforms.
i) Stepped terrace/amphitheater
f) etc

Financial history
The contract sum = 124,500,000
The final account = 122,000,000
The variations =
1) The hydrant system was omitted.
2) Frameless glass walls replaced with masonry walling.
3) High-pressure boards introduced in the lavatories.
4) Excavated materials reused for backfilling and walling.

Project Timelines
The commencement date was on 15th Dec 2022.
The contract completion date was on 23rd September 2023.
The practical completion & handover date was 15th May 2024.
